Este proyecto se basa en la exitosa barrera piloto de Parley Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, que intercepta m\u00e1s de 70 toneladas de residuos al a\u00f1o. A trav\u00e9s de rutas de recolecci\u00f3n comunitarias, estaciones de separaci\u00f3n y reciclaje, un centro de acopio local, monitoreo reforzado, innovaci\u00f3n en ecodise\u00f1o y programas educativos para docentes, estudiantes y comunidades, el proyecto reduce la contaminaci\u00f3n del r\u00edo y fomenta un cambio de comportamiento duradero para proteger los ecosistemas marinos y de agua dulce de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/p>\n<h3>Objetivos clave<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Interceptar los residuos s\u00f3lidos antes de que lleguen al oc\u00e9ano.<\/li>\n<li>Reforzar los sistemas de gesti\u00f3n y monitoreo de residuos.<\/li>\n<li>Mejorar las pr\u00e1cticas de reciclaje y econom\u00eda circular.<\/li>\n<li>Fomentar la educaci\u00f3n y el cambio de comportamiento a largo plazo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Enfoque en el ecosistema<\/h3>\n<p>Este proyecto se centra en el sistema del r\u00edo Yaque del Norte y los ecosistemas costeros y marinos conectados, afectados por el vertido de residuos s\u00f3lidos al oc\u00e9ano.<\/p>\n<h3>Comunidades involucradas<\/h3>\n<p>Este proyecto est\u00e1 fomentando medios de vida sostenibles en las siguientes comunidades:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Santiago<\/li>\n<li>Esperanza (Valverde)<\/li>\n<li>Casta\u00f1uelas (Montecristi)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Organizaciones implementadoras<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Organizaci\u00f3n l\u00edder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Universidad ISA (UNISA) es una instituci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica con m\u00e1s de 60 a\u00f1os de historia, comprometida con el servicio a las personas, la tierra y el sustento.
