El intercambio se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para mejorar la capacidad institucional en el dise\u00f1o y la gesti\u00f3n de financiaci\u00f3n sostenible mediante la exploraci\u00f3n y adaptaci\u00f3n de instrumentos financieros innovadores. Los debates clave abarcaron la financiaci\u00f3n innovadora para la conservaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de modelos de participaci\u00f3n comunitaria y distribuci\u00f3n equitativa de beneficios. Este formato permiti\u00f3 a los participantes determinar modelos de financiaci\u00f3n exitosos, garantizando la eficacia a largo plazo de las iniciativas de conservaci\u00f3n en el Caribe y la Amazon\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the core deliverables set for the exchange, Tanja Lieuw, CBF&#8217;s Conservation Finance Program Manager, stated in her presentation that, &#8220;The true value of this twinning lies in our commitment to developing a joint policy brief that synthesizes our successes, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable financial mechanisms. We are building a foundation for effective policy integration across both the Caribbean and Amazonia.<\/p>\n<p>CBF present\u00f3 el Proyecto de Financiamiento de la Econom\u00eda Azul del Caribe (Caribbean BluEFin), haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en la importancia de utilizar los principios de la econom\u00eda azul para desarrollar mecanismos financieros regionales. El proyecto busca crear sistemas que faciliten la participaci\u00f3n del sector privado y ha desarrollado un Centro Regional de la Econom\u00eda Azul para brindar oportunidades socioecon\u00f3micas.<\/p>\n<p>ATCO Administrative Director Edith Paredes highlighted the regional significance of the partnership by sharing, &#8220;These exchanges are really important and add value for participants. The participants, once they get back home, share it with authorities and it becomes a common policy. There is a lot of technical capacity within all the countries and other initiatives with good practices and I think they are very valuable. IW: LEARN initiates Twinning Exchanges, strengthens collaboration, shares technical expertise, and scales up solutions across the Global Environment Facility&#8217;s (GEF) International Waters (IW) portfolio. The Caribbean BluEFin Project and the MACA project partnered in this twinning to address to strengthen institutional capacity within their unique ecological and economic contexts.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto Caribbean BluEFin est\u00e1 financiado por el Fondo para el Medio Ambiente Mundial (FMAM), implementado a trav\u00e9s del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA) y ejecutado por el Fondo para la Biodiversidad del Caribe (CBF).
