Recently the CBF Partner Fund in the Dominican Republic, Fondo MARENA made some changes to its team, so we thought we would remind you about the MARENA\u2019s work and meet the new team with some photos. MARENA stands for Fundo \u201cNacional para el Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales\u201d which translates to National Fund for the Environment and Natural Resources.
\nEl equipo de MARENA, encabezado por la ingeniera Judith Valdez como Directora Ejecutiva, se compromete a cumplir con sus funciones en cumplimiento de la Ley 64-00, bajo la cual fue creado. MARENA contin\u00faa trabajando arduamente para fortalecer la instituci\u00f3n y cumplir con las directrices del Gobierno y del presidente de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, Luis Abinader, implementando una pol\u00edtica estatal integral para la conservaci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente.
\nMARENA fue creado para desarrollar y financiar programas y proyectos de protecci\u00f3n, conservaci\u00f3n, investigaci\u00f3n, educaci\u00f3n, restauraci\u00f3n y uso sostenible del medio ambiente y los recursos naturales en beneficio de las comunidades naturales y las personas. Es un fondo patrimonial legal e independiente con administraci\u00f3n y jurisdicci\u00f3n propias en toda la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.
