Cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 1997, le Parc marin des Tobago Cays (TCMP) est un parc terrestre et marin \u00e0 usages multiples de 6\u00a0450 hectares qui comprend l&#039;\u00eele habit\u00e9e de Mayreau ainsi que cinq \u00eelots inhabit\u00e9s (Petite Tabac, Petite Bateau, Petite Rameau, Baradal et Jamesby). Ces quatre \u00eelots sont situ\u00e9s dans un lagon prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par un syst\u00e8me r\u00e9cifal en forme de fer \u00e0 cheval. Conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 son mandat, le TCMP a adopt\u00e9 une approche holistique de la gestion des ressources, en veillant \u00e0 ce que toutes les strat\u00e9gies et tous les \u00e9quipements mis en \u0153uvre soient respectueux de l&#039;environnement et adapt\u00e9s au climat. Par cons\u00e9quent, ce projet a mis en \u0153uvre plusieurs activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 accro\u00eetre l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 et l&#039;autonomie du TCMP. Les objectifs de ce projet sont les suivants\u00a0: 1. Prot\u00e9ger les \u00e9missions et augmenter l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du navire de patrouille principal d\u2019au moins 201\u00a0TP3T du projet\u00a0; 2.
