Ces risques sont souvent exacerb\u00e9s par des difficult\u00e9s locales au sein des aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es c\u00f4ti\u00e8res et des communaut\u00e9s voisines, qui d\u00e9pendent fortement des services \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques que ces aires et les paysages marins environnants rendent \u00e0 leurs moyens de subsistance et \u00e0 leur bien-\u00eatre.<\/p>\n<p>Des interventions seront men\u00e9es dans quatre aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es (AP) couvrant des r\u00e9cifs, des herbiers marins, des mangroves c\u00f4ti\u00e8res et d&#039;autres types de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation c\u00f4ti\u00e8re. Ces AP comprennent la r\u00e9serve faunique de Corona de San Carlos, la r\u00e9serve faunique de Laguna de Maya, le parc national de Ci\u00e9naga de Zapata et le parc national Alejandro de Humboldt. Le projet vise \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la gestion des AP, garantissant ainsi la continuit\u00e9 des services \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques. Des formations et une int\u00e9gration du personnel des AP et des communaut\u00e9s locales seront mises en place afin d&#039;accro\u00eetre l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 et l&#039;adaptabilit\u00e9 de la gestion pour la protection des ressources naturelles et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes marins c\u00f4tiers. Ces acteurs travailleront ensemble \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension des impacts du changement climatique sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et des menaces locales qui les exacerbent, en particulier la p\u00eache non durable, la pollution plastique et les esp\u00e8ces exotiques envahissantes. Les communaut\u00e9s \u00e9laboreront \u00e9galement conjointement des plans de mise en \u0153uvre r\u00e9alistes d&#039;adaptation fond\u00e9e sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes (AFE), proposant des solutions adapt\u00e9es au contexte pour r\u00e9duire les risques climatiques. Le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s d&#039;AFE du personnel des AP et des communaut\u00e9s, afin de g\u00e9rer collectivement et proactivement les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes marins c\u00f4tiers, permettra de pr\u00e9server les habitats essentiels \u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la p\u00eache, tout en am\u00e9liorant la capacit\u00e9 des populations \u00e0 faire face aux impacts climatiques dans un avenir incertain.<\/p>\n<p>Des activit\u00e9s de restauration seront men\u00e9es sur les mangroves, les r\u00e9cifs coralliens et autres v\u00e9g\u00e9taux c\u00f4tiers d\u00e9grad\u00e9s afin d&#039;am\u00e9liorer les services \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques rendus aux populations et \u00e0 la nature. Ces activit\u00e9s porteront \u00e9galement sur l&#039;\u00e9laboration de plans de gestion adaptative des p\u00eacheries tenant compte des impacts pr\u00e9vus des changements climatiques sur les esp\u00e8ces et les habitats essentiels.
