By working with municipal authorities, businesses, and residents, the initiative turns waste into value while preventing pollution that increases flood risks and threatens livelihoods. The project combines participatory planning, targeted training, and community engagement to promote the 10R strategies, improve ecosystems, remove or prevent litter, and support sustainable circular economy businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectifs cl\u00e9s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce marine litter and prevent pollution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect mangrove, beach, and marine ecosystems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote circular economy and 10R strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support sustainable circular economy businesses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus sur l&#039;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project focuses on mangroves, beaches, coastal waters, and protected marine ecosystems threatened by waste leakage and flooding risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Communaut\u00e9s impliqu\u00e9es<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project is centered in the coastal community of El Cedro in Miches, El Seibo Province, Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organisations de mise en \u0153uvre<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Organisation chef de file :<\/strong>\u00a0D\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique rural dominicain (Fundacion REDDOM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established in July 2010, Fundaci\u00f3n REDDOM is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to promote sustainable development through competitive solutions and innovative management of resources and processes. In collaboration with public and private partners, REDDOM implements ecosystem-based adaptation activities in coastal communities, sustainable solid waste management, climate smart agriculture, water security, market-oriented rural development, and sustainable management of environmental resources, among others.
