Designed as a sinking fund, the EbA Facility award grants that support actions on climate change adaptation and poverty alleviation through biodiversity conservation and ecosystems management. The grants aim to assist organisations in beneficiary countries in their on-the-ground efforts to maintain and increase resilience and reduce the vulnerability of ecosystems and people in the face of the adverse effects of climate change. The EbA Facility resources are currently composed of a 45 million EURO contribution from the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety through KfW. This financing is being programmed and disbursed during the 2018 \u2013 2025 period. The CBF uses open Call for Proposals for the identification and selection of projects.<br \/>\nSuite au premier appel \u00e0 propositions, lanc\u00e9 en octobre 2018, un montant total de 104 001,2 milliards de dollars am\u00e9ricains a \u00e9t\u00e9 allou\u00e9 \u00e0 11 projets couvrant 10 pays. Dans la lettre d&#039;information du CBF de mai 2020, nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en d\u00e9tail ces 11 projets. Leur mise en \u0153uvre a \u00e9t\u00e9 ralentie par la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19. Cependant, des progr\u00e8s significatifs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s apr\u00e8s la signature des conventions de subvention respectives, notamment en ce qui concerne l&#039;\u00e9laboration et l&#039;approbation des premiers plans de travail annuels (PTA) et des premiers plans d&#039;approvisionnement (PA). Ces documents sont essentiels pour orienter la mise en \u0153uvre et l&#039;acquisition de biens et de services. \u00c0 ce jour, 10 PTA et 9 PA ont \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9s et la mise en \u0153uvre de ces projets est en cours.<br \/>\nLe deuxi\u00e8me appel \u00e0 propositions a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 le 26 f\u00e9vrier 2020 lors de l&#039;atelier CBF sur l&#039;EbA qui s&#039;est tenu \u00e0 Saint-Domingue, en R\u00e9publique dominicaine. Les pays admissibles sont Antigua-et-Barbuda, Cuba, la Dominique, la R\u00e9publique dominicaine, la Grenade, Ha\u00efti, la Jama\u00efque, Sainte-Lucie et Saint-Vincent-et-les-Grenadines. Cet appel, ouvert jusqu&#039;au 31 mai, a rencontr\u00e9 un vif succ\u00e8s et a attir\u00e9 79 candidatures. Les notes conceptuelles soumises sont en cours d&#039;\u00e9valuation par le Secr\u00e9tariat du CBF et le Comit\u00e9 du M\u00e9canisme EbA. Les organisations dont les notes conceptuelles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#039;issue de cette \u00e9valuation seront invit\u00e9es \u00e0 soumettre des propositions compl\u00e8tes. Nous pr\u00e9voyons que ces organisations seront contact\u00e9es d\u00e9but octobre 2020. Les propositions compl\u00e8tes soumises seront \u00e9valu\u00e9es afin de d\u00e9terminer les projets qui seront soutenus dans le cadre du deuxi\u00e8me appel \u00e0 propositions.
