CBF thanks former CEO and seeks its successorCaribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF), November 24th, 2021 - The Board of Directors of the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) wishes to acknowledge with gratitude the service of Mr. Yabanex Batista as Chief Executive Officer for over seven years. Mr. Batista moved on from the CBF and the process is now underway to recruit our new CEO.

The CEO will be tasked with leading this growing regional Conservation Trust Fund. The Caribbean Biodiversity Fund is a regional environmental fund whose mission is “to ensure continuous funding for conservation and sustainable development in the Caribbean.” The CBF has two active programs (Conservation Finance and Climate Change) each with a range of projects and activities and a third program to be rolled out in 2022 focused on Nature-Based Economies.

We are therefore seeking a solution-oriented dynamic leader with extensive Caribbean experience and a passion for building reliable funding mechanisms to promote climate resilient ecosystems, conserve biodiversity, and foster sustainable and prosperous economies.
