Fortalecimiento de la resiliencia climática costera y marina mediante la adaptación basada en los ecosistemas costeros y de tierras altas y la participación comunitaria
Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago
This project demonstrated scalable, community-driven nature-based solutions using vetiver to reduce upland land-management impacts on coastal ecosystems across four Caribbean countries. It combined technical innovation, capacity building, green business development, geospatial mapping, and local partnerships. The work established a regional cadre of trained practitioners, supported nurseries and green businesses, and developed CARICOM’s first vetiver export protocol.
