Enhancing Resilience to Climate Change in Vulnerable Coastal Communities in La Gonave: An Ecosystem-based Adaptation Project

This project strengthened the resilience of vulnerable communities in La Gonave through improved coastal governance, ecosystem restoration, community participation, and sustainable livelihood development. Integrated coastal and blue-economy planning supported the protection of shoreline and freshwater ecosystems while economic incentives, access to finance, and community-led decision-making created foundations for long-term stewardship.
