Fiche d'information du programme sur les changements climatiques

The Caribbean Biodiversity Fund’s (CBF) Climate Change Program addresses critical environmental and climate threats across Caribbean Small Island Developing States through its US$50 million Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Facility, funded by Banque de développement KfW alongside Germany’s Initiative internationale pour le climat (IKI). By leveraging biodiversity and natural ecosystem services to strengthen climate resilience and protect local livelihoods, this sinking fund awards competitive grants across nine targeted countries and territories, including Cuba, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines. These grants finance marine and coastal actions such as ecosystem restoration, threat mitigation, and hybrid gray-green infrastructure, emphasizing collaborative, replicable interventions that connect practical field solutions with national and international environmental policy.
