Pioneering a Blue-Green Economic Development Model for Coastal Adaptation, Livelihoods and Sustainability in St. Vincent
Saint-Vincent-et-les-Grenadines
This project piloted a blue-green economic development model that protects, restores, and sustainably uses coastal and marine ecosystems across seven communities on the south coast of St. Vincent. Ecosystem valuation guided priority adaptation actions, while coastal and watershed rehabilitation, pollution reduction, livelihood development, and participatory governance strengthened ecological, social, and economic resilience.
Objectifs clés

- Restore and protect coastal, marine, and watershed ecosystems
- Strengthen sustainable tourism, fisheries, and local blue-green enterprises
- Improve participatory governance and stakeholder capacity for landscape-scale management
