This project piloted a blue-green economic development model that protects, restores, and sustainably uses coastal and marine ecosystems across seven communities on the south coast of St. Vincent. Ecosystem valuation guided priority adaptation actions, while coastal and watershed rehabilitation, pollution reduction, livelihood development, and participatory governance strengthened ecological, social, and economic resilience.

Coral reefs, mangroves, watersheds, coastal habitats, and the South Coast Marine Conservation Area.

  • Seven communities along the south coast of St. Vincent
  • Communities surrounding the South Coast Marine Conservation Area
  • Tourism and fishing communities within the project landscape

CANARI led ecosystem valuation, participatory planning, livelihood development, institutional strengthening, and the implementation of the local blue-green economic development model.
