This project used community-led rehabilitation of coral reefs, mangroves, forests, watersheds, and riparian areas to increase climate resilience, reduce flood risks, and protect biodiversity in Samaná and La Altagracia. Its ridge-to-reef approach combined coral restoration, sustainable agroforestry, live barriers, community participation, livelihood incentives, and partnerships with local businesses.
