A rich tapestry of reef and pelagic fish species, lobsters, conch, sea grasses, sea turtles, mangroves, algae, resident and migratory birds are native to St. Kitts and Nevis. With the islands’ coral reefs under threat due to ocean pollution, land-based sources of pollution, sand mining, overfishing, increased sea surface temperatures and storm damage, there is a need for conservation initiatives to reverse these adverse effects.
St. Christopher and Nevis Conservation Foundation (SCNCF) support action in biodiversity management and conservation by providing sustainable financing for local initiatives in the country.
