WHAT WE DO

Beneficiaries & Grantees

Beneficiaries and grantees—with funding from the CBF—implement projects at the local and national levels. Our Climate Change program through its Ecosystem-based (EbA) Facility has awarded funding for 27 projects to be implemented by 26 organizations while the Conservation Finance Program has partnership agreements with 11 National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs), who in turn lead grantmaking programs at the national level.

National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs)

As a regional institution, the CBF generates economies of scale by working with the national

funds which are vital forces for conservation and sustainable development in their countries. At the national level, partner National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs) lead the grantmaking process, implement projects and drive programs for the protection and preservation of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems within their countries.

EbA Facility Grantees

Selected through competitive calls for proposals, our grantees implement projects that manage and rehabilitate high biodiversity ecosystems to strengthen the resilience and reduce climate risks to people in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS), while also contributing to biodiversity protection and climate change mitigation.
