Institutional Strengthening of the Laborie Development Foundation: Building coastal resilience through community involvement

Institutional Strengthening of the Laborie Development Foundation: Building coastal resilience through community involvement

To provide support to the development of local governance mechanisms for more effective management and development of the resources in a local town in which village tourism and traditional natural resources extraction and use activities are intertwined. The project addresses Laborie’s environmental challenges by working towards an integrated management plan for the Laborie watershed and the marine area, a proposed management plan for the Rudy John Beach Park (an important recreational space).
