Dominica’s volcanic mountains are covered by the most extensive natural forests in the Eastern Caribbean, feeding rivers that run down to a rich and steep coastline.
The CBF helped establish the Dominica National Conservation Trust Fund in 2022 and signed a partnership agreement the same year. As of February 2025, our funding to Dominica totalled around US$227,000, combining pre finance support, the DNCTF partnership agreement and a grant from the CORE Gender Smart Facility.
These investments support national work on biodiversity, sustainable development and gender responsive environmental action.
