Strengthening Regional Climate Resilience and Supporting Green Economic Recovery through Ecosystem-based Adaptation and Sustainable Livelihoods in the Dominican Republic, Antigua and Barbuda, and Jamaica

This regional project restores and sustainably manages priority coastal ecosystems while supporting green economic recovery and resilient livelihoods. Work across three countries combines locally appropriate ecosystem-based adaptation, coral and coastal restoration, capacity development, ecological and socio-economic monitoring, and knowledge sharing to strengthen future adaptation planning and implementation.

- Monitor ecological and socio-economic outcomes and share lessons regionally
Ecosystem Focus
Coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, beaches, watersheds, and connected coastal ecosystems across the three countries.

UNEP-WCMC leads the regional programme, coordinating country-level restoration, livelihood, monitoring, capacity-building, and knowledge-management activities.
