Guyana’s Protected Areas Trust (GPAT) works to mobilize and allocate finances for the management of the National Protected Areas System (NPAS) in Guyana. GPAT supports projects that contribute to, or promote, the conservation and preservation of biological diversity and maintenance of the ecosystem services of the protected areas using revenues generated from its endowment fund investments. To date, the GPAT has attracted funding from the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) and other local partners.
