Davis Poleon

Committee Member

Davis Poleon is employed with the Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority as a Landfill Site Supervisor at the Deglos Sanitary Landfill. Davis believes that waste management is a critical component to the development of any Small Island State and hence must be taken seriously as the welfare of future generations must always be considered. In addition to the supervision of daily operations at the landfill, he also assists youth organizations in environmental programmes such as composting as they pursue organic gardening initiatives. Davis has attained a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Management from the University of London and has also successfully completed training in Japan in the following areas; Sustainable Solid Waste Management in CARICOM Member States and Management of Composting Projects. He also completed the Expert track of the UN Environmental Massive Online Course on Marine Litter. In his free time, he loves gardening, playing Bass guitar and working on pet projects.
