Leonides Sosa is an environmental specialist who has dedicated his career to promoting sustainable development and environmental protection through pollution control and prevention. Leonides spent 18 years at the Department of the Environment, Government of Belize, and made significant contributions to environmental management and sustainable development in Belize. He has extensive experience in waste management, environmental site assessments for development projects, enforcement and compliance of environmental legislation, project management, environmental impact assessments, and environmental awareness and outreach. Leonides is passionate about environmental stewardship and is committed to creating a more sustainable future for the Caribbean region through his work with the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund.
