Craig Henry, a Saint Lucia native, is the CEO of the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF), established in 2016. He leads the organization in its mission to secure sustainable financing for Saint Lucia’s biodiversity and natural resources.
Before the SLUNCF, Mr. Henry was active in community development, natural resource management, livelihood support, and education. He champions community-led sustainable development.
He oversees one of the Caribbean’s most advanced National Conservation Trust Funds, part of the Caribbean Sustainable Finance Architecture. Mr. Henry’s work emphasizes partnerships, flexibility, reliability, and transparency to boost local conservation efforts.
The SLUNCF’s diverse funding supports sustainable livelihoods, climate-smart agriculture, community development, natural resource management, and human social development. Mr. Henry credits the SLUNCF’s success to collaborative partnerships, institutional responsibility, and dedicated team support.
