Cordia Chambers-Johnson is a development professional who bridges academic scholarship and practical expertise in gender studies. Her career spans critical areas such as gender- based violence prevention, climate resilience, and social justice, working with organizations like United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UN Women HQ, UN Women Caribbean, United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG), Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), Oxfam Canada, and Global Affairs Canada. As an adjunct lecturer at both the International University of the Caribbean and the University of the West Indies, she has enriched undergraduate education through courses exploring gender dynamics, Caribbean cultural contexts, and social structures. This academic work complemented her extensive consulting practice in gender analyses, gender mainstreaming, stakeholder engagement and policy development.
