Daniela Sifontes

Program Officer, ACE Facility

Daniela Sifontes is an Environmental Management and Climate Change Specialist with nine years of experience leading high-impact projects in the Dominican Republic. As a Marine Biologist with advanced diplomas Project Management and Climate Diplomacy and, she has a proven track record in administering complex international funds. Joining the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund in March 2026, she serves as the Program Officer for the ACE Facility. In her role at the CBF, Daniela leverages her expertise in grant administration, circular economy, and coastal governance to support the ACE Facility’s mission of reducing marine litter. Her previous experience as National Coordinator for the Blue Flag Program and her technical support for the Dominican Republic’s climate change adaptation initiatives highlight her ability to bridge the gap between regional policy and local action. Beyond the technical, she is a strong advocate for community-led impact; she believes that for environmental regulations and circular models to succeed, those on the “front line” must be empowered through capacity building and reliable access to resources.
