Consultancy to Review and Update the Caribbean Sustainable Finance Architecture Strategy and Action Plan

About the career opportunity:

The Caribbean Biodiversity Fund is seeking a consulting firm to review, analyze, and update the Caribbean Sustainable Finance Architecture Strategy and Action Plan under the Caribbean Regional Architecture for Biodiversity project. The consultancy will assess progress, engage stakeholders, identify gaps and opportunities, and produce an updated Sustainability Action Plan aligned with conservation finance best practices, NCTF sustainability, capitalization, governance, and regional collaboration priorities.

Expected Deliverables:

Inception Report outlining the evaluation framework, methodology, data collection tools, and comprehensive work plan.
Stakeholder Engagement Summary Report and Comprehensive Gap Analysis documenting consultation findings, gap analysis, recommendations, and an annotated draft table of contents for the Sustainability Action Plan.
Draft Updated Sustainability Action Plan incorporating stakeholder inputs, new priorities, and a revised implementation timeline.
Final Updated Sustainability Action Plan and presentation incorporating all stakeholder feedback.

Budget:

Maximum budget USD 35,000.

Minimum qualifications:

Consulting firms only; individual consultants are not eligible and subcontracting is not allowed.
Experience of the firm in similar assignments.
Methodology and work plan detailing consultancy execution with key and support personnel.
Minimum bachelor’s degree for the key expert in natural resources management, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, social sciences, human resources management, organizational management, or a related field from a recognized university.
Evidence of exemplary verbal and/or written skills in English through links to two publications.
Experience designing and preparing organizational strategies related to biodiversity conservation and environmental finance, particularly in the Caribbean region.
Experience performing strategic evaluations and organizational assessments of similar organizations, including Conservation Trust Funds.
Experience performing financial analysis of conservation funds or similar financial mechanisms.
Ability to perform effective stakeholder engagement with a range of stakeholders in biodiversity-related projects.
Good or advanced Spanish and/or French knowledge in conversation, reading, and writing is a strong asset.
