CBF Technical Officer CHO-TTO Project Leader

About the career opportunity:

The Technical Officer will lead implementation of the Beetham Wastewater Stabilisation Ponds Rehabilitation Project under the CBF GEF 11363 CHO-IP Program, providing technical oversight, project management, procurement support, stakeholder coordination, financial monitoring, M&E leadership and team supervision to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with GEF and UNEP requirements.

Expected Deliverables:

Development and maintenance of the annual project work plan
Lead procurement processes for consultants and contractors
Provide technical guidance on wastewater treatment, pollution mitigation and nature-based solutions
Supervise technical studies, designs and pilot interventions
Ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguards and ESMS requirements
Coordinate stakeholders including PSC, CBF, MPU, SWMCOL and local partners
Design and implement the project’s M&E framework
Lead data collection, analysis and reporting
Prepare annual progress, financial and evaluation reports
Manage and supervise project team members
Coordinate capacity-building activities for project staff and partners
Represent the project at national and international meetings and events

Minimum qualifications:

Master’s degree in environmental management, project management, international development or related field
Project management certification (PMP, Prince2)
7–10 years managing large-scale environmental or wastewater projects
5+ years of M&E experience including data analysis
Experience with international donors (GEF, UNEP)
Experience working within Trinidad and Tobago’s policy and institutional context
