Ingrid Parchment

Director

Ingrid joined the Caribbean Coastal Area Management Foundation (C-CAM) in 1998 and has been Executive Director since 2008. Her focus has been on leading the team to work collaboratively to improve the lives and livelihoods of stakeholders in the Portland Bight Protected Area while conserving the natural and heritage resources through the implementation of projects and programmes while seeking financial sustainability of C-CAM. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of C-CAM
  • Managing all projects and activities of the organization
  • Preparing reports for and interacting with the Board of Directors
  • Liaising with funding agencies and government agencies to explore partnership opportunities
  • Supervising of all staff, consultants, contractors and volunteers
  • Facilitating workshops
  • Financial oversight of the organization’s funds
  • Preparation of project proposals
  • Representing C-CAM on local and national boards/committees
She likes to sew, cook, visit new places, learn about the history of people and places, watch movies, listen to music and spend time with family and friends. She is the Chair of the Jamaica Fish Sanctuary Network and the projects committee of the Clarendon Parish Development Committee. She also represents C-CAM at national, regional and international meetings. She is the director of the National Conservation Trust Fund of Jamaica.
