About Caribbean CONNECT

Caribbean CONNECT is a regional knowledge-sharing and coordination mechanism designed to strengthen circular economy efforts across the Caribbean. Funded by KfW Development Bank on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and driven by the CBF’s ACE Facility, it brings together governments, businesses, civil society, and communities to share knowledge, align efforts, and unlock opportunities for collaboration.

Standing for Circular ecONomy NEtwork and CoordinaTion, CONNECT creates a structured space where stakeholders can highlight successes, and exchange lessons learned from across the Caribbean and beyond (other Small Island Developing States and developing countries).

We also hope to also spark new ideas for circular businesses and keep readers in the loop with upcoming events for strengthening their capacity in the regional circular economy sphere.  Caribbean CONNECT can ensure resources are used efficiently, duplication is reduced, and capacity is strengthened—building a stronger, more resilient circular economy movement for the Caribbean.

Circular Stories: Our Virtual Publications

Starting from October 2025, the ACE Facility, together with Ubergreen Sustainability Consulting, will develop semi-annual publications under Caribbean CONNECT. These publications will feature stories from real people who have been working to implement the circular economy, as well as upcoming events and resources to keep you in the loop with everything circular!

Issue 1 | October 14, 2025

The inaugural edition of this publication broaches critical issues for the region such as opportunities for recycling, marine litter, sargassum management and livelihood creation in waste management.
